The only downside is that our Torqueedo electric outboard died yesterday, so we have to row ashore every time we leave the boat! 😆

End of day today in the boatyard. Progress, but no End of day today in the boatyard. Progress, but not nearly as much as we hoped because of a problem that shut off water in the yard, and it's hard to wash the hull without water.

Time to sit with a beer, watch the pelicans fishing, and enjoy the sunset. Tomorrow will be better.

We were guests at the Antigua Tot Club's meeting there last night, and arrived early enough to explore the place while it was still empty. At the top of the hill sit the remains of Fort George, which was built in the 1680s as a point of refuge for the British settlers in the event of an attack by the French. The fort was maintained as a military garrison until the 1830s, and then served as a signal and timekeeping station until the 1920s. It is one of the highest points in Antigua, and gives you beautiful views of the whole island!
