We had a sunny day, so decided it was time to give you a tour of our boat. Apologies for the background noise – apparently someone really needed to be using their chainsaw while we were filming!

We will go watch the parade tonight, and hopefully they will leave some presents at our boat also, in the midst of delivering gifts to all the local children! It's a soggy day in the marina, with a yellow rain It's a soggy day in the marina, with a yellow rain warning in effect for our area of Spain. It's the first big rainstorm that we've seen in Cartagena (we were away for the big storms earlier in the fall) - funny how quickly we forget that we should be used to cold, wet winters from Vancouver. At least we aren't shovelling snow off the decks this year! We have been taking advantage of the beautiful Spa We have been taking advantage of the beautiful Spanish weather, and going for walks all over Cartagena. The city was founded in 227 BCE, so there are centuries worth of monuments and castles to explore. Stunning late autumn day yesterday. With temperat Stunning late autumn day yesterday. With temperatures more like late summer, it was a perfect opportunity to go for a hike in Gatineau Park and enjoy the fall colours. The park is a treasure. A protected wilderness so close to the city, in the winter it becomes a playground with over 200 km of xc ski trails and a little alpine ski hill with a lot of history. It's where I learned to ski and race, and, on a day a lot like this one in 2008, where we were married. #gatineaupark #campfortune
Two down, one left to go... We are headed back to Two down, one left to go... We are headed back to Ottawa for a couple of months to spend some time with Mike's family. We spent most of the last week closing up the boat, but we still have a backlog of photos from Cartagena to share with you. Meanwhile, I'm going to try not to freeze as we readjust to chilly Canadian autumn weather! Here are a few photos from the last few places we've stopped. #1-3 are from Ferragudo, #4 is on Ilha da Culatra, and the last one was taken in Ayamonte. I'm missing our "fancy camera" today as we work ou I'm missing our "fancy camera" today as we work our way down the coast from Portimao to Faro. I fell in the water while beaching the dinghy a few weeks back (happens to all of us eventually), and of course happened to be wearing the camera bag at the time. They were able to clean & save the lenses, but not the camera body... So you only get long distance photos for a while, until we decide what to get as a replacement! (We had a Sony a6500, but they've discontinued that model.
