The canvas work is complete, so we are ready to set off on our new adventure! There are still lots of minor projects that still need doing, of course, but we can chip away at those as we go.

We left the dock in North Vancouver just after 6am. The city may be experiencing a heat wave, but it’s amazing how cool it is on the water – long pants, puffy jackets, and even wool socks were required!

Solid winds took us across the Straight of Georgia, arriving at Porlier Pass just 20 minutes after slack tide (which was still more than enough time for a few knots of current to build up against us!). Once through, we tacked our way down Trincomali Channel for a few hours, and then motored into Montague Harbour on Galiano Island. Dinner, and then a walk through the park, and we were done for the day!
